91 pc billionaires in Modi’s cabinet

As many as 91 per cent or 40 billionaire ministers figured in newly inducted union cabinet of Narendra Modi, election watch group NEW and ADR said.

Releasing assets of new cabinet election watch group said that it has analyzed affidavit of 44 ministers and found that 40 of them (91 pc) are billionaires as they have 13.47 crores average assets.

It revealed that five ministers who have assets of more than Rs. 30 crore are union minister of Finance and Defense Arun Jaitley who is BJP, RS MP from Gujarat have assets of Rs. 113 crore.

Followed by Union minister of food processing Harsimrat Kaur Badal who is SAD LS MP from Bathinda Punjab with Rs. 108 crore assets, Union Minister Munde Gopinathrao Pandurang BJP LS MP from Beed Maharashtra with Rs. 39 crore and Maneka Sanjay Gandhi BJP LS MP Pilibhit Uttar Pradesh Rs. 37 crore and Mr. Piyush Goyal BJP RS Maharashtra has assets worth Rs. 30 crore.
