Clear weather gave respite from cold wave in Himachal

The clear weather and sunshine gave respite from cold wave in Himachal Pradesh as there was rain and snowfall during last 24 hours in this hill state.

After four days long rain or snowfall, state had clear weather and bright sunshine today which gave respite from extreme cold weather. Most of the snowbound roads were opened for vehicular traffic.

Bharmaur in Chamba district experienced 7 cm snowfall, Jhanjheli in Mandi district 4 cm and Shimla 3 cm.

Naina Devi in Bilaspur district recorded 18 mm rain, Gaggal in Kangra district 16 mm, Dharamshala 12 mm, Bangana in Una district, Manali and Hamirpur 8 mm each, Gohar in Mandi district 7 mm, Renuka 6 mm, Kasauli in Solan district, Baijnath in Kangra district and Rohru in Shimla district 5 mm each.

Bharmaur was coldest at minus 13 degrees, Keylong minus 9.4 degrees, Manali minus 3 degrees, Kalpa minus 2.4 degrees, Shimla 1.5 degrees, Dalhousie 1.7 degrees, Sundernagar and Bhuntar 2 degrees each, Hamirpur 3 degrees, Chamba, Kangra, Palampur and Solan 4 degrees each and Dharamshala, Nahan and Bilaspur 5 degrees each.

The Met. office forecast rain or snowfall at few parts of high reaches and middle hills and rain at few parts of foothills in next 24 hours.

  1. i want knw about tommorow and one day after tommorow weather,is there cold weather or normal? well we program to visit there (Kangra) temples and iam packing clothes so should i pack winter cloths or not. i hav 1 and half year baby. plz reply me soon.we r going tommorow.
