Rain and snowfall continues in many parts of HP

Rain and snowfall lashed many parts of Himachal Pradesh as inclement weather condition is prevailing in this hill state.

The Met. office said that Keylong, district headquarters of Lahaul & Spiti got 14 cm snowfall followed by Kalpa in Kinnaur district got 6 cm and Bharmaur in Chamba district 3 cm respectively.

In tourist resort Kufri and Narkanda about 5 to 6 cm snowfall was recorded over night while it was packed for another spell. In Sirmaur district Churdhar ranges also had snowfall.

Many parts in downstream got rainfall as Manali had 25 mm rain, Saluni in Chamba district 19 mm, Bharmaur 14 mm, Seobagh in Kullu district 11 mm, Dharamshala in Kangra district 10 mm, Rampur 9 mm, Kumarsen in Shimla district, Bhuntar and Banjar in Kullu district 8 mm each, Sunni Bhajji, Shimla, Nurpur in Kangra district and Bajuara in Kullu district 5 mm each.

Minimum temperature of Keylong was minus 3 degrees, Kalpa minus 1.8 degrees, Manali and Dalhousie 1.8 degrees each, Shimla 3 degrees, Dharamshala and Hamirpur 5 degrees,  Sundernagar, Palampur, Chamba and Una 6 degrees each, Bhuntar, Nahan, Solan and Kangra 7 degrees each and Bilaspur 9 degrees.

The Met. office forecast rain or snowfall at many places in high reaches and mid hills and rain or thundershowers at few places on the foot hills.
