CM hails the decision to raise quota of subsidized LPG

Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh has welcomed the decision of the Union Government for raising the quota of subsidized LPG cylinders from 9 to 12 in a year.  He said that he had taken up the matter with the petroleum ministry to enhance the limit of subsidized LPG cylinders to 12 especially in the hilly states like Himachal Pradesh as LPG helps in saving the precious forests wealth.

Mr. Virbhadra Singh said that this decision would benefit the maximum people of not only Himachal Pradesh but the entire country as their domestic need would be fulfilled by subsidized LPG cylinders itself.  He said that now the consumers would get one cylinder per month at subsidized rate from April, 2014 onwards and households would get 2 additional subsidized cylinders in the year ending March.

Chief Minister has also hailed the decision of suspending Aadhar-link subsidy transfer scheme which was causing inconvenience to the common people.  He said that he had also taken up this matter with the government of India and Central Leadership from time to time.
