Snowfall at high reaches of Himachal Pradesh

High reaches of Himachal Pradesh are experiencing snowfall as it was cloudy today.

The gateway to Lahaul and Spiti district, Rohtang Pass, Seven sisters hills, Lady of Keylong, Goshal hills, Shrikhand, Kinnaur Kailash of Kinnaur district, Dhauladhar ranges of Kangra district experienced snowfall.

The rest of the state was covered by thick clouds likely to bring fresh snowfall in the tourist resorts of the state. Inclement weather conditions is keeping the cold wave conditions in the state, as such as there is no improvement in the temperature.

Bharmour in Chamba district was coldest in the state with minus 13 degrees, Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti minus 12.8 degrees, Manali and Kalpa in Kinnaur district minus 2 degrees each.

Bhuntar in Kullu district was cold at 0.5 degrees, Shimla, Sundernagar, Solan, Hamirpur and Chamba 1 degrees each, Una 2 degrees, Palampur, Nahan, and Kangra 3 degrees each, Bilaspur 4 degrees and Dharamshala 5 degrees.

The Met. office forecast rain or snowfall on the parts of middle and high reaches and rain or thundershowers in the foot hills in next 24 hours.
