Three women nabbed with fake currency notes of Rs. 10,000

Three women from Bihar and UP were nabbed with fake currency notes of Rs. 10,000 while they were to circulate it in a market of Shimla today.

SP Shimla Abhishek Dullar said that three women, out of which two belonged to Pachhiam Rattan area of Malda district in Bihar and one hailed to Gorkhapur distirct of UP were nabbed with fake currency notes of Rs. 1000 denomination as they were trying to circulate it in a shop at Lower Bazar, in Shimla town.

On the complaint of shopkeeper all the three were nabbed by the police and were booked under violation of currency act under police station Sadar of Shimla area.

Police interrogated the women to further know from where they purcured the fake currency and how they were trying to circulate it.

During preliminary police interrogation it was not clear that from where these currency notes came. The accused were named as Leela Bhagti (35), Parvarti (25) and Prati Chaudhary (40). Police has seized the currency notes found fake as they were verified in the bank.
