HP at 164/5 against 214 of Kerala in Ranji Trophy

Himachal Pradesh was on 164 runs after losing 5 wickets against Kerala, who scored 214 runs in the first innings of Ranji Trophy match played at Thalassery stadium in Kerala today.

HPCA spokesman said that host Kerala elected to Bat first after wining toss but its entire team returned to Pavilion after making 214 runs in 56.1 overs comprising highest total of 71 runs made by Vinoop S.M., who hit 12 boundaries followed by V.A. Jagdeesh who made 56 runs, for Himachal. V. M. Bhatia took 5 wickets giving 63 runs.

Playing first innings, HP made 164 runs after losing 5 wickets as Nikhil Gangta and V.M. Bhatia were on the crease at 26 and one runs as stamps were withdrawn for the first day play today. B.B. Sharma of HP made 53 runs and was caught by Robert Fernandez on a ball of C.P. Shahid.
