IMD forecasts snowfall on high reaches of HP

India Meteorological Department forecast rain or snowfall at isolated places on the high reaches in next 24 hours owing to fresh western disturbance (WD).

Rain or snow is likely to occur at few parts in the high reaches as WDs were advancing to North Western Himalayan region in next two days. However, it would be mainly dry in rest of the state .

Mercury was largely stationary in the state as no appreciable change in maximum and minimum temperatures was seen in last 24 hours.

Keylong, headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti district was coldest with minus 5.6 degrees Celsius, Manali minus 0.6 degrees, Kalpa in Kinnaur district was at 0 degrees, Bhuntar 0.8 degrees, Sundernagar 1.3 degrees, Chamba, Hamirpur and Solan 2 degrees each, Una 4.7 degrees, Bilaspur 4.9 degrees, Kangra 5.2 degrees, Palampur 5.4 degrees, Shimla and Dharamshala 7.6 degrees each and Dalhousie 8.9 degrees.
