UPA and HP Congress rule deceiving youths : Dhumal

Leader of opposition and former Chief Ministers Prem Kumar Dhumal trained guns on the United Progressive Alliance in the center and Mr. Virbhadra Singh Government in the state charging to deceive the youth, alleging that both remained fail to keep promise made with this section.

Mr. Dhumal who was addressing a District Shimla party executive meeting at Deep Kamal, Shimla said that Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee NDA had given ample employment avenues to youth as about seven crore jobs were generated, comparatively his successor Manmohan Singh government have provided employment opportunities to only 27 lakh youth in the country during its nine years rule.

Similarly, nine months old Mr. Singh’s government came in the power with popular slogan to give employment allowance of Rs. 1000 per month to unemployed youth also mislead this section, it not only ignored its promise but modified it in form of ongoing scheme of skill development allowance which was already implemented in the state during last BJP rule, Mr. Dhumal said.

Instead of giving any facility to general public the state government burden them with 30 percent hike in bus fare and also increased minimum fare being charged in the state. Soon after new government took charge the PDS ration suddenly went out of stock in all the depots and hurriedly it stopped the popular Atal Bihari Vajpayee free uniform scheme deluding the school going youth from the existing facility.

Asking the party workers to identify the new booth level functionary for the party BJP state unit president Satpal Singh Satti said that it would launch a drive, ‘Mere Booth Sabse Majbut’ (my booth best strengthen) .

Various party workers and senior leaders were present in the party meeting.
