Congress had promised to restore the jobs of all replaced PTA teachers at the time of assembly elections but it has to regularize their jobs as most of PTA teachers have been given contractual appointment to be regularized after completing one year of contract period.
Some of regular teachers who have been slapped with transfer orders owing to reappointment of PTA are going to knock the door of court as they have not completed period of three years on there present posting which is mandatory under new transfer policy evoked recently on the direction of court order.
One of transferred regular teacher told on condition of anonymity that most of the teachers decided to follow the legal battle in the court as they have been transferred by the department when they have not completed minimum requisite stay period on the posts.
The government exercising extra ordinary powers to condone their short stay slapped transfers orders on them which also effected the academic activities in the mid of this year’s education calender, he said.
Regular teachers are of view that they should not be disturbed as number of posts are already laying vacant in the department where removed PTA could have posted.
