Abode of Dalai Lama to develop as ‘city of flowers’ soon : Anurag Thakur

Dharamshala, renown hill station in Himachal Pradesh also called abode of Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama, recently came up on the International cricket map, would now turn up as ‘city of flowers’.

This was stated by Lok Sabha MP, Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association President and Bhartiaya Janta Party Yuva Morcha leader, Mr. Anurag Thakur.

It was kicked off in special presence of number of Bollywood, and cricket stars like Sunil Shetty, Ritesh Deshmukh, Sohail Khan, Aftab, Varun Badola, BJP spokesman Rajeev Pratap Rudy, former cricketer Azarudeen, Kamlesh Paswan, Nishikant Dubey, Jayant Choudhary and Dhananjay Singh  as they handed variety of flower saplings to the President of Nagar Parishad Mrs. Kamla Patiyal to further transplant them in the town.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Thakur said that Nagar Parishad would further handover these plants to local people who would grow it in their courtyard and in habitations so that this town could emerge up as flower city at par with any town in the Europe.

Dharamshala is already blessed with ample natural wealth, and has grabbed the attention of globe after successful international cricket and IPL matches which were played here recently. He said that these plants would also be grown in public places like, parks around government buildings, in compounds of school, colleges and other education institutions.

  1. A few flowers will surely counteract the constant traffic jams and rapant construction that has destroyed the original ambiance of Dharamshala !!
