Mercury shoot up to highest of season

The heatwave continue in the state as mercury smashed upto 30 degrees in this capital town.

The burn of summer season was experienced in this capital town as mercury shoot up to 30.1 degrees Celsius today, forcing the people to avoid the sunshine. Una was hottest in the state when mercury touched its highest mark at 44 degrees Celsius yesterday.

After Una, Mandi witnessed extreme heat waves as Sundernagar was 40.7 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu district was 38.2 degrees, Nahan and Solan 35.6 degrees each, Dharamshala 30.4 degrees and Kalpa was 25.4 degrees.

The heatwave is likely to increase further in the state in coming days as Met office forecast mainly dry weather in the state.
