Journalist dies in avalanche near tourist’s resort Manali

A journalist of an electronic news agency was killed in a snow avalanche near Manali in Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday, the police said.

Asian News International (ANI) reporter Prem Thakur got trapped in the avalanche near Ralha nullah, located some 28 km from Manali towards Rohtang Pass. However, his colleague who was accompanying him managed to escape.

The Border Roads Organization (BRO), which was busy in snow clearing operation in the area, reached the spot, and started the rescue operation.
