The life is like hell in the tribal towns like Keylong, Kaza, Kalpa, Chitkul, Pangi and Bharmour where the supply of water is almost unavailable due to frequent logging water pipes in the cold. After formation of thick layer of frost on the road, it added to the woes of people in the state. The flowing water drains in the town turning into icicles in the extreme cold. The people remained struck to fire places in the wee hours to save them from extreme cold in the state. The working people and businessmen have to bear the cold wave however desert look was prevailing in the commercial establishment and crowded places as people were not coming out of their home.
The Met office forecast that there is no possibility of rain or snow in the state in next 24 hours.
