Cold conditions further aggravated in Himachal

The cold wave conditions are further aggravated in Himachal Pradesh as it was partly cloudy in the day and night is extremely cold with further dipping the Mercury in the state.

Keylong, headquarters of Lahaul & Spiti so far cut off from rest of world was almost minus 10 degrees Celcius followed by Kalpa in Kinnuar at minus 4.6 degrees, mercury was decreased by 1 and 2 degrees respectively. Life in tourist resort Manali is equally grim as Mercury was pegging at minus 3 degrees, Solan in the middle hills was low at minus 2.4 degrees which was coldest of the season. Bhuntar and Sundernagar minus 1.3 degrees and 1.4 degrees respectively. Minimum temperature of Shimla was 1 degrees, Palampur and Mandi 2 degrees, Una 3 degrees and Dharamshala 4 degrees.

The Met office forecast mainly dry weather despite feeble western disturbance.
