BJP ministers figure in Congress’s chargsheet in Himachal

Departments of all ministers barring the Panchayati and Rural development minister Jai Ram Thakur figured in the charge sheet being finalised by the Congress’s charge-sheet committee as stated by the G S Bali, the chairman of the committee.  Addressing mediapersons Mr. Bali, who is former Congress minister in the state disclosed today that charge sheet would be submitted to the party high command and simultaneously released in Delhi and Shimla on the day it is submitted to president of India.

Mr. Bali said the 1000 page document included cases of irregularities and acts of omission and commission during 50 months of BJP rule and glaring cases of violation of section 118 of tenancy and land reforms act have been mentioned.

The other members of the committee, Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Harshwardhan Chauhan and Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, who were also present at the press conference, said that the “The charge sheet is supported by affidavits and documentary proofs and the names of the entire cabinet including chief minister and some bureaucrats figures prominently in the charge sheet”.

Mr. Bali said that the charge sheet was ready but it would be subjected to judicial scrutiny before submitting it to party high command. The issue of purchase of excess land by several private universities and scams in the Department of Health, Food and Civil Supplies, HIMUDA, Home and Transport figure in the charge sheet.

“The inputs for the charge-sheet have been provided by NGO’s, individuals and media whose names would be kept secret while some information had been extracted through RTI”, he added.

The charge-sheet would prove the allegation of Congress that “Himachal is on sale under BJP rule and land mafia has been patronized by the government”, he said.
