Mobile blood van arrives in Nurpur

Shimla: Blood donation camp with the help of mobile blood bank was organized at Government Degree College Nurpur by the Integrated Counseling and Testing Centre (ICTC) Nurpur, Blood Bank Dharamshala and Blood Storage Centre Nurpur under the aegis of HP State Blood Transfusion Council. On this occasion the chief guest Rakesh Pathania stated that any healthy person between the age of 18-60 having weight of 45 kg can donate blood. Blood donor gets a free health check up besides free screening for 5 diseases like HIV 1/2, hepatitis C, malaria, syphilis. He appealed to all the people to come forward for noble cause and stressed that it does not cause any weakness.

This was the third camp in the fortnight long tour of mobile blood bank. The tour was launched at Dharamshala and there will be series of 15 camps throughout the district. 27 blood donors donated blood in the camp and 57 donations have been received in the campaign till date.
