Sun plays hide & seek, Monsoon inactive

Shimla (Aug 3): Except parts of the state, dry weather prevailed in the entire state for last four day as sun played hide and seek, resulting in humidity and warm weather conditons, following inactive Monsoon.

In Sirmour district, Paonta got 29 mm rain, Nahan 18 mm, Jhandutta in Bilaspur & Bangana of Una 11mm each, Jogindernagar in Mandi 10 mm & Nainadevi in Bilaspur 8 mm each, Kasauli in Solan 7 mm & Baijnath of Kangra 5 mm.

Minimum temperatuare at Shimla was 17.7 degrees Celsius, Keylong and Kalpa 13 degrees, Bhuntar 22 degrees, Dharamshala 19.7 degrees, Sundernagar and Palampur 20 degrees each, Mandi 21 degrees, Una 24.5 degrees, Nahan 23.7 degrees and Solan 18 degrees.

The Met office said that rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at few parts of middle and high reaches and many places in middle hills during next 24 hours.
