Shimla (July 26): Himachal Pradesh government last evening ordered transfer of two deputy commissioners along with three others administrative officials.
A government spokesman said that four IAS-cadre officers were reshuffled last evening as DC Chamba Devesh Kumar was transferred as DC Mandi replacing Amand Garg, who has proceeded on study leave, while Kumar would be joined by 2001 batch IAS Sharb Negi who was secretary in state Election Commission.
Sharb Negi would be replaced by Himanshu Shaikhar Chaudhary, who returned from central deputation. Principal secretary, education, Shrikant Baldi has also been given additional charges of secretary finance, economic, static, and 20 Point program and IT. Principal secretary Ajay Mittal, who is on leave, vacated the charge.
I wonder why all good officers in the state are opting for central deputation and study leaves!! No wonder govt has to rope in Forest Service people to run the departments.. !!
