Fire destroys three industrial units in Baddi

Solan (July 7): A devastating fire broke out at a chemical factory in Baddi and destroyed three units this morning, causing revenue loss of Rs 5 crore.

Fire brigade officer posted at Baddi, Hem Raj Gautam, said the fire broke out in a C&D Chemical unit at 8 am and burnt the entire unit. The fire also
spread to the road as chemicals reacted with bitumen on the road and further spread to two other industrial units in the vicinity, causing Frencho Shoes and Aromatic Flora units. No one was injured in the mishap and DSP Baddi Amit Sharma visited the spot later in the day.
