30th June to be the deadline for admission to undergraduate classes

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh University has directed all the principals of colleges to strictly implement the decision already conveyed through notification dated 19.11.2010. According to the notification, no admissions in the undergraduate classes in their respective colleges is to be made after 30th June of every year. These orders were passed by the Hon’ble High Court of Himachal Pradesh and decision of the Academic Council in its meeting held on 27.09.2010.

No extension in any case will be allowed after 30th June,2011 ( 30.06.2011), Registrar said this here today. He further said that the principals of all the affiliated colleges will admit the candidates at their own level whose cases fall under Ordinance 3.3(A) for age relaxation up to 6 months and forward all such cases in consolidated form to the university for approval of the Vice Chancellor. He said that no candidate may be harassed for want of age relaxation and for late admission after the issue of the latest instructions dated 22.6.2011.
