Six injured in Bilaspur college clash

Bilaspur (June 9): A verbal spat between students led to an altercation which left six Akhil Bharatiya Vdyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activiss at Government Post-graduate College injured on Thursday afternoon. Police booked four students belonging to Bilaspur Student Association (BSA) after the clash.

According to SP Santosh Patyal, some students and few outsiders entered the campus in a Scorpio and started stone pelting stones, which led to a clash. He said during the stone pelting a girl, Ruchika, was also injured. Gaurv Singh, who logged a complaint with the police, said that when he entered the complex some students started throwing stones a him.

Patyal said that among the injured are Surya Chandel, Ruchika Meera Devi, Parash Rao, Gaurv Singh and Virender Thakur. He said all were discharged from hospital after first aid. He said four students, Deepak, Abhishek, Kulveer and Gopal were booked under sections 147, 149, 323 and 506 of IPC.
