Kings XI players pitch in for Mountain Cleaners

Dharamsala (May 20): Mountain Cleaners hosted a live concert named GOONJ – ‘Music for Change’ at Bhagsu on May 19 to create environmental awareness and highlight the need for change in our everyday lives. The highlight of the event was participation by Kings XI Punjab players Piyush Chawla and Paul Chandrashekar Valthaty.

The live concert offered performances by established rock bands of the state with something for everyone including Hindi, Gurkha, Pahari, Tibetan and western songs and showcasing talented local musicians from the Indian, Western and Tibetan communities.

The event paid tribute to all those who show gratitude towards beautiful mountains.
Mountain Cleaners are a voluntary organisation formed in 2009 in Himachal Pradesh who conduct clean-ups and run several waste collection programs in remote areas including Triund, Guna Temple and Kareri Lake/village.
