Thundershowers lash parts of Himachal

Shimla (May 8): Thundershowers lashed parts of Himachal Pradesh during last 24 hours, which kept night temperature two to three degree below normal, while tribal districts remained under cold grip.

The Met office said that Sangrah in Sirmaur had 5 mm rain, Seobagh in Kullu & Kotkhai of Shimla 4 mm each, Rohru and Jubbal of Shimla recorded 3mm and one millimeter rainfall. However, rest of state remained mainly dry.

The minimum at Kalpa in Kinnaur was 4.4 degree Celsius followed by Keylong in Lahaul Spiti at 5.2 degrees. This capital town and Solan were low at 12 degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi 14 degrees, Mandi 15 degrees, Palampur and Dharamshala in Kangra and Una 19 degrees each and Nahan 25 degrees. The Met office forecast mainly dry weather during the next 24 hours.
