HPTDC registers gross profit of Rs 568.94 Lakh in FY 2009-10

Shimla: 38th Annual Report released by Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal (chairman of HPTDC) in state Assembly on Mar 17 highlighted that Himachal Tourism has recorded gross profit of Rs 568.94 crore during FY 2009-10.

HPTDC has a wide network of luxury chain or Hotels & Restaurants in the state. It has 57 units having 1070 rooms and 2320 beds capacity, while it runs 61 restaurants and cafes serving varied cuisines including Himachali delicacies. All these properties are set in superb locations in the lap of nature having four categories .i.e.Premium, Heritage and Budget Hotels. It has its own transport wing, as it runs distance services between Delhi-Manali, Dehli-Dharamshala, Delhi-Shimla, Shimla-Manali, Manali-Chandigarh and vice-versa. The financial results of company for the year 2009-10 show income of Rs 6261.55 Lakh and expenditure of Rs 5692.61 lakh, registering gross profit of Rs 568 .94 lac against last years loss of 517.68 lac.
