Shimla: Congress today criticised the state budget presented by the Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal in Vidhan Sabha, terming it jugglery figures, which is directionless, visionless and anti people.

Leader of opposition in the house Vidya Stokes said that budget has failed to address the growing unemployment problem in the state and the budget does not match the aspiration of the agrarian population of state that had been facing difficult times during the past few years. She also said that Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal made no mention to check the wild animal menace in his budgetary speech in the house, as large number of farmers in the state had abandoned farming due to the monkey menace.

She further accused the budget to be repetitive of the previous year plan and had nothing new to offer to people of the state. Congress leaders termed the budget as anti-employees, as the government had not made any major announcement for paying the arrears to its employees. State Congress President and Darang MLA Kaul Singh Thakur said figures and projections shown in the budget was mere “jugglery” of figures through which the government had attempted to paint a rosy picture.
