Police seize illicit poppy husk from shop

Nahan: Police raided the shop of Rishi Kumar at Bata Bridge Chowk near Poanta town last night that led them to recover 30 kilogram poppy husk. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Paonta Sahib, Shiv Kumar said that a case under Narcotic Act has been registered after the arrest of Rishi Kumar. He said that market value of recovered poppy husk has been estimated at Rs 3 lakh in the international market. He added said that police has increased night patrolling and vehicles were being checked to control the use of drugs in area.
