Government to set up two hydropower engineering colleges in Himachal

Dharamshala: Himachal Pradesh government would set up two hydropower engineering colleges in Shimla and Bilaspur districts to meet the growing requirement of engineers in the hydropower projects.

This was disclosed by Irrigation and Public Health minister Ravinder Singh Ravi while addressing at the annual function of Government Degree College at Dhaliara yesterday. He said the twin hydropower engineering colleges would be set up with the help of NHPC, SJVNL and NTPC. These colleges would also provide opportunities to youths of the state to shape their future within the state, he added.
