Census 2011 includes Dalai Lama

Dharmashala: The Tibetan temporal head and the spiritual leader Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso was today enumerated at his official residence, Tchekchen Choeling at Mcleodganj.

The enumeration was done by Enumerator for the area Sangeeta Sekhri for Census 2011 . The enrolment of Dalia Lama, who returned to the seat of Tibetan Government-in-exile today, took place in presence of District Census officer Kangra A.L. Sharma and Director Census Operations Balbir Tegta. The 2nd phase of Census 2011 was in progress and in this phase the population enumeration was being taken in nine districts of the state in the general areas. These district are Chamba ,Kangra ,Mandi, Kullu ,Bilaspur, Hamirpur ,Una ,Solan and Sirmaur. The work had begun on 9th Feb, 2011 and will be completed on 28th Feb, 2011 . The revisional round will be taken from 1st -5th March 2011
