Himachal T-20 in Guinness Book of World Records: HPCA

Shimla (Feb 9): Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association today claimed that Jaypee Twenty-20 Mahasangram cricket event has been enterred into the Guinness Book of World Records.

This was announced by HPCA president and Lok Sabha MP Anurag Thakur while inaugurating the 4th edition of Himachal T-20 at Una. Thakur claimed that the tournament has got mention in the ‘Guinness Book of World Records’ for participation by maximum number of teams.

This year 1,343 teams participated in the tournament, out of which only 24 were selected for the final round. He claimed that 16,000 players played across 75 venues in the state. As many as 500 people are coordinating the event on which Rs 1crore is being spent. However, search on the official website of Guinness records did not show any such results.

  1. Happy to know such big activity been carried in my state. But as said no record for the claim! Its seems to be show biz.
