CPIM activists give court arrest over price hike

Shimla: Activists of state unit of CPIM today gave court arrest in large number at mall road, protesting against the price hike on the all India call of party.

More than 200 activists of CPIM amazed the entire district administration when they suddenly turned up shouting slogan against UPA government failing to check skyrocketing price hike. The activists created long trouble for police when they could not arrested in few police vehicles. Later police forced all the protesters in its four vans and released them after registering a case against them for violation of sec. 144 of Indian Penal Code, which was recently clamped in the town in wake of agitations.

CPIM state secretariat member Tikender Panwar told media persons that they want to awaken the state and centre government, which is in slumber despite noticing the increasing of inflation by each passing day. The local people and tourists were also present in large numbers while CPIM lodged protests before police control room in the town.
