Himachal Pradesh Cabinet expansion shortly

Shimla (Feb 8): Himachal Pradesh cabinet is likely to be expanded shortly to fill up one ministerial slot currently vacant after elevation of former forest minister Jagat Prakesh Nada as BJP national general secretary.

Sources in the government said Chief Minister Orem Kumar Dhumal may also reshuffle some ministers on the basis of their performance in the the Panchayat Raj elections, besides inducting two to three parliamentary and chief parliamentary secretaries. Source said the expansion is likely to occur on or after February 9 as the Chief Minister wants to expend his cabinet before the ensuing budget session of the state assembly slated at the end of this month.

There are speculation that current speaker of state assembly Tulsi Ram might get a cabinet portfolio, replacing him with present BJP president Khimi Ram, whose post may go to any member of cabinet, discharging him/ her from the ministry.
There are speculation in public domains that Rajiv Bindal, Roop Singh, Suresh Bhardwaj are key figure who could be given the party command. Hari Naryan Saini, who belongs to the Shanta camp, so far sidelines, may also be rehablitated in some way..
