Snowfall on high reaches of Himachal

Shimla: High reaches of Himahcal Pradesh experienced fresh snowfall while sky was overcast in rest of state. However, mercury is still keeping five to six degrees up in the state. The Met. office said that Keylong, headquater of Lahaul Spiti received 10 cm snowfall and high reaches of Kullu and Lahaul Spiti were reported to have experienced moderate to heavy snowfall.

 Minimum temperature of this capital town has jumped up to 10.3 degrees, which was 8.9 degree above the normal, Keylong was at minus 8 degrees, up by three degree and Kalpa in Kinnuar was at 1 degrees, above by five degree. Sundernagar in Mandi district was low at 6.1 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu 3.5 degrees, Dharamshala in Kangra 6.5 degrees, Una 5.5 degrees, Mandi 8 degrees, Nahan 8.5 degrees, Palampur 10.5 degrees and Solan 5 degrees. Thas he Met office forecast rain or thundershowers at few places in middle hills and rain and snow at few places of high reaches during next 24 hrs.
