Rain or snow likely to occur in part of HP

    Shimla (Jan 07) The Indian Meteorological Department has forecast  rain or snow to occur in part of high reaches in the state.

    Meanwhile, high peaks of tribal Lahaul Spiti district experienced light snowfall.

    Manmohan Singh, Director State IMD said rain or snow is likely to occur at isolated part of high hills, while weather would remain unchanged in the low line areas.

    According to report arriving from Keylong said that sky was cloudy and high reaches of district ‘ Lady of Keylong,’ Koksar, Kunzum Pass experienced light spell of snowfall this morning

    Meanwhile, the sky was partly cloudy in the day but except Lahaul and Spiti district, there is no report of rain or snow from any part of state so far.

    The minimum temperature slightly rose up from that of yesterday, but it was still one to two degree below in most of the places, however this capital town was three degree above normal recorded low at 5.5 degree Celsius.

    Keylong in Lahaul Spiti was minus 11.8 degrees that of minus 15 degree yesterday, however it was still two degree below normal, Kalpa was at Minus 4.5 degrees. Sundernagar in Mandi, Bhunter in Kullu, Una and Solan was low at zero degree each.

    Mandi town was at one degree, Dharamshala 3 degrees, Palampur 5 degrees and Nahan 6.5 degrees respectively.

    The Maximum of Kalpa was at 0.4 degrees, Shimla 16.6 degrees, Dharamshala and Nahan 18 degrees each, Bhuntar 19 degrees, Sundernagar and Mandi 20 degrees each and Solan 22.5 degrees.
