Fire renders two families homeless

    Chamba (Dec 30) Property worth lakhs of rupees, was gutted down by major fire at Kuffa village in Pangi subdivision of Chamba district today, as it broke out despite having heavy snowfall in the valley.

    The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained. The fire caused an estimated loss of Rs three lakh. The affected families belong to Hiraram and Roshan Lal,
    After getting information Sub-divisional Magistrate Pangi, Karam Singh Chaudhary visited the spot and issued one tent and Rs 4000 each and ration of four months toward district administration to effected families.

    Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker and local MLA, Tulsi Ram has expressed shock over the incident. He asked the administration that it should create awareness to check the increasing number of fire mishap in the district.
