Met office predicts rain, snow

Shimla (Dec 10): The whole of Himachal Pradesh experienced sharp drop in day temperature today as the sky remained overcast. The Met office has forecast rain or snow in high reaches of the in state in the next 24 hours.

The mercury fell to minus five degree Celsius in Keylong of Lahaul & Spitit, which was two degree below normal, followed by Kalpa in Kinnaur at minus two degrees. Bhuntar in Kullu was low at 1.2 degrees, Shimla 3.8 degrees, Mandi 4 degrees, Dharamsala in Kangra and Solan 6 degrees each, Palampur in Kangra 5 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur 7 degrees and Una 8 degrees, respectively.

Maximum temperature also fall by two to three degree today as Shimla was 12 degrees (15.9 yesterday), Sundernagar 18.1 degrees (21 degrees yesterday), Bhuntar 19 degrees, Kalpa 10 degrees (12.6 degrees of yesterday), Dharamsala 18.2 degrees (21.6 yesterday) Una 21 degrees (22.4), Nahan 17.1 degrees (21.3), Mandi 17.8 degrees (21.3), Solan 18.4 degrees (20.5).
