Dacoits loot lakhs of rupees after injuring four

Nahan (Dec 10): As many as six dacoits attacked the house of one Bhajan Singh at Rampurghat village under Paonta tehsil of Sirmmaur district last night at about a am and looted lakhs of rupees before disappearing in the dark after injuring four persons of the family.

Confirming the dacoity, deputy superintendent of police, Paonta Sahib, G Shiv Kumar said that special police from Shimla along with a dog squad have been called to investigate the dacoity. He said that four persons were seriously injured, three of them referred to PGI Chandigarh and the fourth one, an Army employee, to Chandmandir Amy Hospital in  Chandigarh.
