Cold wave continues unabated in Himachal

Shimla (Dec 7): Despite bright sunshine and dry weather, cold wave has been continuing unabated in the state as mercury is keeping one to two degrees below normal, the Met office said today.

Keylong in Lahaul Spiti district was coldest in the state with minimum of minus 4.1 degree Celsius followed by Kalpa (Kinnaur) at freezing point. Sundernagar (Mandi) was low at 1.9 degrees, Mandi 2.5 degrees, Una 5 degrees, Shimla and Palampur (Kangra) at 6.2 degrees each and Dharamsala (Kangra) 8.5 degrees, Nahan (Sirmaur) 10.4 degrees, respectively. The Met office forecast mainly dry weather in the state during next 24 hours.
