Himachal T-20 in Guinness Book of World Records: Anurag

Dharamsala (Nov 30): Inaugurating the third edition of Himachal T-20 tournament here at the HPCA stadium, the state cricket body’s head Anurag Thakur claimed that the tournament has got mention in the Guinness Book of Records for participation by maximum number of teams.

This year 1,343 teams would be participating in the tournament. He claimed that 16,000 players would be playing across 75 venues in the state. 500 people would be coordinating the tournament, on which Rs 90 lakh would be spent, including Rs 30 lakh prize money.

The first match was played between Dharamsala Press Club and Kangra XI, which was won by the latter.
