Dharamshala: Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama underwent a health check-up here on Saturday after a recent bout of illness. Tibetan official Od Lobsang Wangyal told media persons that the Tibetan leader was here for a regular health check-up. “From my point of view, it wouldn’t be a serious issue because he has been so many times given a clean chit by many doctors, except in 2008; he had gall bladder stone surgery and after that he has been expressing himself that, ‘I am very good, my health has no problems,” Wangyal added. In a query about Dalai Lama’s retirement, Wangyal said the spiritual leader is preparing Tibetans for such an eventuality.
