Motorcycle expedition flagged off from Manali

Manali: With aim to spread the message of safe riding, a motorcycle expedition was flagged off  from Manali by District Tourism Officer Rajeshwar Goel on Wednesday. Deputy General Manager (corporate communications) of Mahindra and Mahindra Sunil Gate told Himvani that this expedition comprising of five motorcyclists would cover more than 6,000 km distance in 30 days.  He said similar rally was also flagged off from Goa on Wednesday. From Gangtok, the motorcyclists would be flagged off on Thursday, whereas from Kanyakumari it was flagged off Monday. “On their way to Nagpur, the motorcyclists will share their journey experiences with people to promote safe riding on a bike,” he said adding that 20 motorcyclists would cover a total distance of 24,000 km and their journey would end in Nagpur on Dec 22, 2010.
