New universities to be opened in Bilaspur

Shimla: Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister, addressed a mammoth gathering at Kothipura village in Bilaspur district. Here he dedicated the newly constructed Deputy Director of Education building at Bilaspur, Ambedkar Bhawan, newly constructed science block at government senior secondary school, Kothipura and drinking water supply scheme for Kothipura-Nauni-Raghunathpura to the students and people of the area today. He also said that new universities would be opened in the districts where no private university has been opened so far and Symbosis was also being pursued to open its university in Bilaspur.  He said that it would be in addition to the proposed Hydro Engineering College in Bilaspur.

He also informed that the biggest marketing yard of the state would be constructed at Parala, near Theog in district Shimla and will be connected with dedicated horticulture road to transport the horticulture produce to different market terminals during apple season. Also, Changar area of the Sri Naina devi segment would be getting 25 cusecs of water from Anandpur hydel channel for drinking and irrigation facilities of the area.
