Mild quake in Pirpanjal ranges

Shimla (Nov 7): Pirpanjal ranges in Himachal Pradesh were hit by slight intensity tremors, recorded 4.2 on the Richter scale, this morning. However, there is no report of loss of life and property in the Chamba region.

According to Manmohan Singh, Director of Indian Meteorological Department based in Shimla, said a slight intensity earthquake struck Pirpanjal ranges and its surrounding areas at 9.10 am. The epicentre of earth quake was at Latitude 34.1 degree north and Longitude of 73.9 degree east in the Hindu-Kush ranges.
