ISRO engineer among 5 dead in separate mishaps

Shimla (Oct 13): Five persons were killed and two others injured in separate accidents that occurred in Himachal Pradesh during last 24 hours, police said today.

Three people died on the spot as a truck carrying a bulldozer from Badrash in Shimla district fell down into a deep gorge at Jakharinallah near Kandaghat in Solan district early this morning. The deceased has been identified as Badriparsad (44) from Ghaziabad and Lalit (22) from Muradabad whereas the third person was yet to be identified.

An Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) engineer, Sairik IC, died as he fell down from a road at Sholing in Kinnaur district in the darkness last night. 50-yr-old Sairik had come here from kerala along with two others. Eyewitnesses said as he came out of a Swift car he lost balance and fell down a 250-feet-deep ditch at Sholing under Bhavanagar police station. The body of deceased was recovered this morning and has been sent back to his home after postmortem.

In another jeep accident this morning, a teenager died while two others were injured seriously when the vehicle they were travelling in fell down a gorge at Plangi area under the same police station.
