Shimla (Oct 1): Reacting to dismissal of his appeal in the high court, Union minister Virbhadra Singh claimed that inadmissible evidence was collected by the state Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau against him, and the trial court will not take cognisance of the material in a mechanical manner, as was also observed by HC judgment pronounced today.

“It is a very important direction by the high court in the case where, as per our allegation, inadmissible evidence has been collected by the investigating agency on the basis of which further proceedings are being attempted,” the Union minister reacted. “At this stage, many legal options are available before me after obtaining a copy of the challan – from approaching the trial court to again approaching the high court and also the Supreme Court of India. I shall take further action in this regard in consultation with my lawyers,” he said.
