Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Police has decided to beef up security in the wake of Ayodhya verdict tomorrow, however, no area in the state has been declared sensitive.

Inspector general of police SR Mardi said that no part of the state has been declared sensitive but they were taking no chances and would ensure all possible security measures. Bilaspur, Nahan, Chamba and Nalagarh are the only areas in this hill state where Muslims have a noticeable presence.

It is worthwhile to mention that the Shanta Kumar government in Himachal Pradesh was among the three state governments which became victims of Babri Masjid demolition as it was dissolved by the Centre invoking Article 356 of Indian Constitutions in June 1991.
