Two arrested for dowry death

Dharamsala: Two women have been arrested in connection with an alleged dowry death in Sarah village on the outskirts of Dharamsala, while another was at large, police today said.
Additional superintendent of police Sanjeev Gandhi told HimVani that Narinder (28) of Sarah village allegedly committed suicide and her mother Santosh Kumari lodged a complaint saying that her daughter was being tortured by her two sisters-in-law, Kamlesh and Kiran, and her mother-in-law Laja Devi for dowry.

Police registered a case under Section 498 and 306 of the IPC and arrested Kamlesh and Kiran while Laja Devi was absconding, he said.
