VHP to garner support for Ram temple issue in Himachal

Shimla: Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) in association with Hanumant Shakti Jagran Samiti (HP) would organize three-month-long programmes across the state to garner support for constructing of Ram temple in Ayodhaya.

Announcing this here today, international joint secretary of VHP, Vinayak Rao Deshpande said that the programmes would be conducted in two phases, from August 16 to November 15 and from November 17 to December 17, respectively. He said that in the first phase the Samiti would organize collective chanting of Hauman Chalisa and would carry out signature campaign in support of Ram temple.

Rao added: “VHP appeals that the Ram Janam Bhumi issue should not be politicized and not made an issue to garner vote support.” He said that VHP calls for a ‘Ram temple reconstruction legislation’ similar on lines of the Somnath temple. He also announced the body for Hanuman Shakti Jagran Samiti of state. Kuldeep Chand Agnihotri has been made president of the organisation.
