Dr Sulakshna Puri gets Bharat Jyoti award

Shimla: Dr Sulakshna Puri, project director, HP AIDS Control Society, was awarded ‘Bharat Jyoti Award’ for her outstanding contribution in prevention of AIDS and successful implementation of special schemes for people living with HIV/AIDS by India International Friendship Society, a prestigious international NGO, at a function held at Constitutional club, New Delhi.
Former Tamil Nadu Governor Bhisham Narayan Singh presented the award to Dr Puri. Her achievements in successful campaign of Beti Anmol Hai, Anaemia Free Himachal, Anti Tobacco Campaign were specially mentioned by the speakers as landmark achievements for state like Himachal Pradesh which has achieved various distinctions in health sector and has become leader in health sector in the country.
