Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today launched the official AGRINET (Agriculture Resource Information Systems and Networking) portal comprising two modules – Government to Citizen (G2C) and Government to Government (G2G) – offering services in agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and fisheries departments through a common platform.

He said that the G2C services contain information and data about various services of line departments related to the citizens, while G2G portion contains services for departments i.e. inner departmental reports for the departmental users. He said that the functionalities of G2C module contains equipment details, programmes and schemes, guidelines and publications, downloads and forms, market information, frequently asked questions (knowledge bank), news and events, announcements, policies, training and services and diseases, etc. He said that an expert advisory module has also been developed wherein farmers could go through the knowledge bank in order to find out the solution to their problems and in case the problem remains unresolved or the farmer was unsatisfied with the information provided through the knowledge bank, he may post his query online to experts in the concerned department and universities through the module.
